Wedding photography is one of the largest investments many couples make. Instead of asking who is cheapest, ask who is the best fit for your wedding, priorities, and peace of mind.

Evaluate more than the Instagram feed

Social media is useful for discovery, but it should not make the decision for you. Ask to see at least one complete wedding gallery, work created in lighting similar to yours, indoor and outdoor ceremonies, reception photographs after sunset, family portraits, and candid moments. A curated portfolio demonstrates taste. A complete gallery demonstrates consistency.

Pro tip:If a photographer will not share complete galleries, ask why. Experienced professionals are usually happy to provide recent examples after an inquiry.

Ask about reliability, not just style

Beautiful photographs only matter if they are safely captured and delivered. Ask about backup cameras, lenses, batteries, memory cards, emergency coverage, image backups, preview timing, final delivery, overtime rates, cancellations, and printing rights before signing.

Expert tip:Communication, preparation, and experience have a much larger impact on your final gallery than camera brand alone.
